The act of moving the needle—pausing with every single stitch—breaks away from habitual patterns, offering a space for deliberation. Within this slow rhythm, irregular and awkward shapes emerge; in this process, I met the pure joy of drawing again.

발리에서 만든 수제 차받침.
손에 익은 기술을 내려놓고 가장 서툰 방식으로 그림을 그립니다. 완벽한 결과물을 만들기보다, 기술적 한계 속에서 마주하는 의도치 않은 형태들에 집중합니다.
능숙한 재료와 도구를 사용할 때보다 훨씬 많은 시간이 들지만, 한 땀씩 멈추며 천천히 바늘을 옮기는 과정은 손에 밴 관성적인 움직임을 멈추고 고민할 틈을 줍니다. 그 느린 호흡 속에서 마주하는 우연하고 모난 형태들, 그 과정에서 그리기의 순수한 기쁨이 다시 발견됩니다.
이 드로잉이 당신의 공간에 놓였을 때, 시선에 닿을 때마다 일상의 관성을 잠시 멈추게 하는 산뜻한 환기가 되어주기를 바랍니다.
